WSF1 VISION Concept

Our Vision for the Future of Wearable Robots

While the original WalkON Suit F1 by Angel Robotics earned global recognition by winning gold at Cybathlon 2024, the WSF1 Vision Concept reimagines what’s next. Designed to aid everyday mobility of paraplegic users, this concept takes the performance-proven platform to new heights in interaction, autonomy, and design refinement.

The Vision Concept integrates advanced control algorithms, AI vision, and multi-sensory communication tools into a streamlined, emotionally resonant form. From the first approach to the final step, every moment is crafted to reflect the dignity, capability, and individuality of its wearer.

This is not just a prototype—it’s our vision for the future of wearable robotics and personal mobility.

A wearable robot that comes to you.

The WSF1 Vision Concept reimagines wearable mobility for individuals with paraplegia. Unlike conventional exoskeletons that require external assistance, WSF1 Vision approaches the user autonomously and prepares itself for independent donning. Engineered for both functionality and dignity, the suit’s front-loading mechanism allows users to remain seated while seamlessly docking boots and vest into the suit—no helper required.

Every detail is designed to empower the user with ease, confidence, and style. With 12 high-torque actuators delivering multi-directional movement, advanced self-balancing, and crutch-free operation, the Vision Concept offers a new level of freedom and independence in everyday mobility.

Most exoskeletons on the market are worn from the back, making it nearly impossible for users to suit up independently. The WSF1 Vision Concept solves this with its autonomous docking and front-entry design. The robot approaches the user, lowers its frame, and enables the user to remain seated throughout the entire donning process.

By eliminating the need for another person during setup, the WSF1 Vision Concept restores more than mobility—it restores autonomy. From the first step, users experience movement on their own terms, in their own space

Iconic Neoprene Design for Seamless Motion

A signature design feature of the WSF1 Vision Concept is the neoprene fabric that envelops the hip joint actuators. Engineered with both form and function in mind, the fabric’s natural tension creates a smooth, sculptural curve that dynamically shifts as the robot moves.

This flexible covering not only adds a soft, human-friendly visual contrast to the mechanical frame but also conceals internal components, ensuring that the system remains visually clean and cohesive throughout motion. It’s a simple yet powerful gesture that reflects the core philosophy of the Vision Concept—technology that moves with you, beautifully.

Autonomous Approach Front-Loading Freedom & Next-Level Flexibility.

WSF1 Vision is a half-humanoid robot that walks toward the user, lowers its body, and invites the user to step—or roll—into place. Once connected, the suit comes alive, offering multi-directional mobility—not just forward and backward, but also lateral motion for turning, sidestepping, or even crabwalking.

Its 12 actuator joints support a full range of natural motion, while the lightweight structural design keeps movement agile. Ergonomic features include integrated handles for manual control and emergency support, a responsive neoprene core for flexible upper-lower body transitions, and vision-optimized angles for navigation and environmental awareness.

WSF1 Vision is not only a robot you can wear—it's a robot that understands how you move.

So, what is your story? We'd love to hear from you.

Let's start a conversation.

The WSF1 Vision Concept isn't your average wearable robot. It combines exceptional functionality with the best aesthetic expression it can be. Outstanding performance inevitably comes with package restrictions, and the WSF1 Vision Concept successfully transfers the mass into visual power by careful choreography of silhouette and its stance. It effectively communicates its three design principles: commanding presence, enticing athleticism, and technological revelation through clever juxtaposition of proportion, clean, powerful yet dynamic surfacing, and details that tell a cohesive story. A wearable robot standing strong to carry all your weight, and a technologically advanced mobility solution - the WSF1 Vision Concept.

The WSF1 Vision Concept understands the needs of our users beyond the ability to walk. The robot helps them mix with the crowd with ease, featuring a rich mixture of different CMF palette closer to sports wear than a techy robot, a friendly expression without being overly caricaturish, and a form that is attractive as a piece of design that reflects the best of our time.
