WSF1 VISION Concept
2025 Gwangju Design Biennale
We are currently presenting the Red Dot Design Award-winning(best of the best) at the 2025 Gwangju Design Biennale, one of world’s leading design exhibitions.
The Vision Concept builds on the gold-winning Cybathlon 2024 platform and pushes the boundaries of what wearable mobility can mean for individuals with paraplegia.
With its flowing silhouette, forward-leaning stance and unmistakable proportion that convey athleticism while protecting both the user and mechanical intricacies underneath.
It features human center design language that reimagines mobility as something empowering, independent, and even expressive—closer to fashion than to a medical device.

“You,
the world,”
Under the theme “You, the world,” we are sharing how design can go beyond function—becoming a statement of dignity, mobility, and individuality.
For us at Move Lab, it’s about sharing how design can restore independence, celebrate humanity, and open up new futures for wearable mobility.

Crafted for the Future
The lighting design carries a dual meaning: it ensures safety while also serving as the suit’s signature identity.
The DRL built into the head evokes a piercing attitude, giving the robot a presence that feels alive and aware,
while the display that's flipped toward the user features a SATNAV function, which, with a touch of a finger, walks you to your destination.
The surfacing and details further highlight the strength within.
The front chest cover shields both the user and the intricate machinery beneath, while the sculpted forms guide light across flowing curves.
Crisp cut-outs punctuate these surfaces, transforming functional elements into aesthetic statements.

Silhouette
Proportion Surface
Detail
Outstanding performance inevitably comes with package restrictions, and the WSF1 Vision Concept successfully transfers the mass into visual power by careful choreography of silhouette and its stance. It effectively communicates its three design principles: commanding presence, enticing athleticism, and technological revelation through clever juxtaposition of proportion, clean, powerful yet dynamic surfacing, and details that tell a cohesive story. A wearable robot standing strong to carry all your weight, and a technologically advanced mobility solution - the WSF1 Vision Concept.

Details that define the future.
The WSF1 Vision Concept is not just about function—it’s about presence. Every vent, curve, and surface has been sculpted to embody strength, elegance, and precision.
From its flowing silhouette to the intricate mechanics beneath, each detail reflects our belief that wearable mobility should be as inspiring as it is empowering.
Look closer, and you’ll discover a design language that transforms engineering into expression.

Crafted for people
The WSF1 Vision Concept is more than engineering—it’s a statement. Every vent, curve, and contour has been deliberately shaped to embody resilience, elegance, and precision.
From the inviting texture of neoprene trim to the dynamic feel of anodised aluminium components, every detail delivers tactile and visual feedback that fuses design and engineering into a seamless, human-centred mobility experience.
